Peter Izsak is a Senior Data and Applied Scientist at Microsoft, specializing in Natural Language Processing solutions for healthcare. With expertise in computational linguistics and machine learning, he architects NLP systems that address complex healthcare challenges.

Before Microsoft, Peter served as a Research Scientist and Team Lead at Intel Labs, leading research at the intersection of Deep Learning and NLP. He holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

His research spans efficient language model training, model quantization, retrieval-augmented generation, long-context LLM evaluation, and knowledge distillation — with publications at venues including EMNLP, NeurIPS, COLING, and ACM SIGIR.
